SPECIAL NEEDS
The well-trained staff of St. Mary’s Catholic School deals with students on a highly individualized basis. Certain needs, however, may require professional attention of a kind other than what we are able to provide. The school reserves the right to refuse admission in cases of this nature, such as the following:
The school may not accept children with behavioral problems.
The school may accept children with special physical or learning needs if the Principal – after consulting with the child, the guardians, and involved staff members – finds that those needs can be adequately met by staff.
Should behavioral, learning, or physical problems surface during the school year, a student’s status will be re-assessed. The Principal - again, after consulting with the child, the guardians, and involved staff members – will decide whether the school can offer the special programs needed to continue the proper development or the student or whether other arrangements should be made.
NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY
St. Mary’s Catholic School accepts children of any race, color, sex, religion, or ethnic origin, provided that the parents agree to submit their child to the rules and regulations adopted by the school. St. Mary’s Catholic School complies with all applicable State and Federal laws regarding discrimination.

CURRICULUM
The curriculum in our school is designed to prepare students for college and beyond. Serving Pre-kindergarten through eight grade, St. Mary's Catholic school provides a Christ-centered education in which Catholic identity permeates the entire curriculum. The curriculum encourages our students to reach their fullest capacity and teaches the whole child, spiritually, academically, physically and socially.
St. Mary's Catholic school is a faith community within an academic community, where the intensive collaboration among parents, students and staff results in a comprehensive learning environment that goes well beyond the 3 R’s. In addition to the basic skills in Language, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Religion, St. Mary's Catholic school incorporates other key disciplines into the curriculum. Service learning is core to our Faith and is integrated in our school through required community service projects and a minimum of community service hours. In addition to service learning, schools also offer:
- Foreign language studies – Spanish
- Technology learning through computer skills classes and other special programs that allow our schools to offer opportunities on the forefront of technology
- Music programs including band, and Church choir
- Athletics including volleyball, basketball, football, golf, co-ed soccer, and track
