Dear Parents/Guardians:
As bright yellow school buses turn the corner, and the hot sweaty days of summer turn to autumn, we all know that the new school year awaits everyone’s arrival. I am looking forward to an exciting year with the students at St. Mary's Catholic School. My name is Alice Flores and I will be your student’s Spanish teacher; hopefully they are as excited about this year as I am!
Inside the classroom I hope to establish a learning environment where all students feel comfortable. I am in favor of “hands-on” learning with a lively, full participation classroom. I hope to set a great example of language and culture for your students in an atmosphere where I know that they can succeed.
If you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. I can’t believe that the new 2009/2010 school year is already here, but I am anxious to see familiar faces and families, and meet the new students and their families!

2nd grade: Remember to practice numbers 1-15, colors, greetings, months of the year. enero,febrero,marzo,abril,mayo,junio,julio,agosto,septiembre,octubre,noviembre,diciembre.
New greetings for next week are: me llamo-my name is, asi-asi-so-so,como estas-how are you, bien-good and mal-bad.
3rd and 4th grade: Practice numbers 1-30, colors, greetings, new words are No Se- I don't know, Yo Se- I know, Perdon-excuse me, mi casa-my house, days of the week, months of the year and chevere-cool. Be sure to check your homework assignments that will be due next week on Friday the 19th
5th grade: review all notes in your notebook.
Once a month there will be a quiz on the previous assignments issued.
