4th Grade Families,

Quarter 4 service hours were due Friday, May 17.  I am still missing a handful of these!

Exam study guides have been sent home!  Please be on the lookout!

Please check the gradebook for any missing work that your students need to turn in, that may be causing quarter grades to look lower than they should be.  I've got a running board of names, but it's not shrinking as quickly as I'd like.  We're down to the wire!

Please encourage your child to start looking for any stray textbooks that may be at home.  Book inventory will be taken early next week, and students will be financially responsible for any lost textbooks!

FYI: Conduct grades are calculated based on the number of check marks the student receives each week.  (I deduct three points for every check mark the student earns in a week to find the weekly total, then take an average of the nine weeks within the quarter).

Our class goal is for all students to complete a whole-class homework assignment on time!  There is extra recess at stake!
Please remind students to complete recurring homework assignments: Spelling Tuesday & Wednesday choices, and reading log entries & responses. More detailed information can be found in "Documents." These assignments do impact Language Arts grades!

I have been giving students reminders that anytime an assignment is incomplete or missing on the due date, they are welcome to complete at a later date for partial credit and show it to me at a later time.  Please encourage your child to show their best effort by completing all their work, even if it is a bit late! I am a firm believer in the phrase, "Better late than never!"
