Dear Second Grade Families,
I hope your Labor Day weekend was full of family, friends and fun. I look forward to returning to school tomorrow to hear about the fun happenings of the weekend.
Thursday we'll be in the kitchen making biscotti for our coffee basket that will be auctioned off at the St. Mary's Music Festival. Students will be in groups and will rotate through learning stations so that everyone gets a chance to bake. If any parents are available to help Thursday morning, 8:00-10:00, please let me know.
Please check your child’s take home folder daily. Your child’s conduct color is recorded on the calendar.
Homework for this week:
1. Read minimum of 20 minutes daily. Read Mom's Strange Speaking (decodable) and book of choice. Record what was read on reading log in take home folder.
2. Math sheet attached to Monday Memo.
3. Study spelling words: friend, Jesus, God, Father, sometimes, read, silly, write, math, peace
Bonus: Trinity, Holy Spirit. Write sentences using spelling words. Final tests are taken on Fridays.
Please contact me with any questions or concerns. Thank you for entrusting your child to St. Mary’s Catholic School. It is a joy to work with your children!
God bless,
Suzi Rockwood
